從國際紅回日本的獨立樂團 Chai，2012 年成軍，成員包括主唱兼吉他手的雙胞胎姊妹 Mana 及 Kana、貝斯手 Yuuki、以及鼓手 Yuna，團名來自於加入果醬的俄羅斯茶。2018 年發行了首張專輯《 Pink 》，以嘲諷的歌詞反映日本社會對於女性「可愛」過於嚴苛的審美觀，曲風結合 Punk、Hip Hop、Electronica，再融入典型 J Pop，一推出就在歐美造成廣大迴響。最新專輯《 Wink 》不僅與西雅圖知名廠牌 SUB POP 簽約，更獲得英國音樂雜誌 NME 四顆星的高度評價。
Chai, based in Japan indie band, and formed in 2012. Its members include lead singer and guitarist twin sisters Mana and Kana, bassist Yuuki, and drummer Yuna. The band's name comes from Russian tea with jam. In 2018, the first album "Pink" was released, reflecting the Japanese society’s harsh aesthetic view of women’s "kawaii" with mock lyrics. The genres combines Punk, Hip Hop, and Electronica, and then blends into the typical J Pop and caused widespread repercussions in overseas music scene. The latest album "Wink" not only signed with the well-known Seattle label SUB POP, but also received high praise from the British music magazine NME with four stars.
